ReWORK Team Up with Stenhousemuir's Warriors in the Community

ReWORK continue to provide high spec office furniture throughout the UK with one of our latest projects supporting Stenhousemuir FC and the community arm of the club, 'Warriors in the Community'.

ReWORK is a project delivered by Workhorse Generation that saves new or nearly new, high spec office furniture from going straight to landfill. Terrifyingly 1.2 million office desks and 1.8 million office chairs go to landfill each year in the UK!

ReWORK stores, offers and delivers office furniture FREE of charge to charities, business start-ups and other good causes.

Through local networks built within Scotland, ReWORK and the Warriors quickly put their heads together to see what could be done and after a productive meeting between Workhorse Generation's Fraser and Warriors in the Community Chief exec Blair it was obvious that a partnership to support the local community would be both logical and productive.

Items such as office swivel chairs, an office couch, a meeting desk and an office desk were picked and delivered to Ochilview Park in September. The items will kit out a couple of office's allowing staff members to hold meetings with community groups as well as a meeting cabin, which again will be used for the clubs community team to further serve the local community with vital services.

Fraser said "Knowing the football club and the backroom team made this an easy process, I live locally and I see the work that this club and Blair do on a daily basis. With ReWORK giving this furniture it allows the team here at the Warriors to do more without worrying about spending hundreds if not thousands of pounds on furniture when that money is better spent on the services they deliver. I look forward to catching up with the guys and girls again in the near future and hearing about the work they are doing and to see if we can assist on any more projects."

Stenhousemuir FC Head of Charity, Blair Cremin, said “This furniture will help our charity staff create a more comfortable and productive work environment, which will allow us to focus on how to best serve our community.

We are especially grateful to Rework for their commitment to the circular economy. Living and working in a more sustainable way is important to us at Warriors in the Community, and it is great to work in collaboration with others who share our values.

By working together to reduce waste and conserve resources, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future for all.”
